If you are a European fan of Halo 3 and you are available between 18th March and 30th March then Microsoft has exactly the right-sized leisure plug for you, this is in the form of a trigger-happy online tournament that just so happens to involve your FPS of choice.
The Official European Halo 3 Tournament will be hosted via Xbox Live and will explode into a plasma-scorched competition in order to find Europe’s best Halo 3 player.
So if you think your combined affinity for all things Bungie and Master Chief and blazing shooter skills are sufficient to gain such a title then you will be pleased to learn that event registration opens today.
In order to register, potential entrants need only open up the Xbox Live Dashboard and click on the competition advertisement at which point they will be able to enter the competition and they will be gifted with a free gamerpic download for their trouble.
When the competition kicks off, players will be faced with match competition spread across three separate multiplayer modes, these are Slayer, King of the Hill and Oddball.
Subsequent Halo 3 National Champions taken from each participating European territory will then be given a piece of exclusive framed Halo 3 artwork as well as a place in the tournament final where the best of the best will go head-to-head to decide the ultimate Halo 3 player.
Prizes include an Xbox 360 Elite console and a 40-inch Samsung Crystal Design Series 6 FHD television.
